Dr. David Tack and his wife Susie are the owners of Blue Cross Animal Hospital, which is the longest ongoing veterinary practice in Las Vegas.

Having a grandfather and an uncle who were veterinarians, he spent his childhood summers working with his uncle, “Just like James Herriot’s All Creatures Great & Small.”

After receiving his DVM from Iowa State University, Dave moved to Las Vegas with his wife and 4 year old son and began working at Blue Cross Animal Hospital. On July 2, 1982, he and his wife purchased it. In March of 2003, Blue Cross Animal Hospital moved from the shadows of the Stratosphere tower to Summerlin where Dr. Tack built the current state of the art clinic.

Over the years, Dr. Tack has served as President of the Clark County Veterinary Medical Association, Board Member of the Animal Emergency Center and is currently on the Board of Directors of Nevada State Veterinary Medical Association.

He and his wife have two grown sons, three grandchildren, a lab named Sadie and two cats, Sally and Sonny.
